Fixing Slow Windows Shutdown

On the right area of the dialog box, look for Shutdown: Clear virtual memory pagefile. Disable the said culprit.

A soft boot, also known as a warm reboot, is a reboot process of restarting your computer under software control but without completely removing power or to trigger a reset line. To do this, press CTRL, ALT, and Delete all at once. Soft booting was initially designed to speed up the process or restart.
